October Calendar

Good Morning To You and Happy Fall Y'All!

I had some vacation time that I had to use up and so I'm taking this week to be as crafty as possible. My absolute favorite time of year is once again upon us and so I'm chomping at the bit to make Christmas cards and projects but first, a little something for the here and now.

I've been wanting to make one of these flip calendar cards for a long time, ever since a lady that I've been following, (since the beginning times of my blog), made one.  It was such a blast to make and I really hope you like it.

The stamp So Spooky Tilda is from the 2009 Magnolia So Spooky collection, colored with Copic Markers

I died the ribbons on the tags with Distress Ink.  BTW, this style of card is called a Side Step Card.

I have used many DooHickeys dies: Summer Gate, Tilda Tag, Paris Night (cat), Cloud from club #4, Pumpkin & Leaves from club #6, Moon from club #9.  I have also used Spellbinders & QuicKutz.

Tags.  Love the sayings!

Don't you just love the papers?  I've used two different sets from MicheleRDesigns, Fright Night and Halloween.

Copic Markers:  Face: E000, E00, E11, E13, R01, R20  Hair: YR20, YR24, YR27, E39, E59  Dress & Shoes: V01, V09, V12, V15, V17, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9  Broom: Y21, Y26, Y28, E31, E35, E57, E79
Distress Inks: Black Soot, Dusty Concord, Forest Moss, Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo

Thank You All for stopping by.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  I'll be back with something new just as soon as I can.  Until then, have a great day and better tomorrows.

A Card For Summer

Good Day Crafty Peeps!  I'm so glad you could stop by today.

I haven't had much time to make cards lately and I've missed it so much.  So when the hubs went fishing for the weekend, I kissed him goodbye and made a beeline for my craft room.  I do have to say that I didn't craft the whole day away.  I did spend a bit of time shopping some of the fantastic online craft supply sales too.  Got a few things I've been wanting for a while and a few things I didn't know I needed until I saw them.  :p  Anyway, here is a little something I worked on for my daughter-in-law, Summer.

This sweet stamp is Dandelion Tilda from the Magnolia 2016 Spring Fever collection.  I so fell in love with her because of the dandelions.  I know they're weeds, but I've always loved them.  I would pick them for my mom when I was little and I especially loved when they turned white and fluffy and I could blow the seeds and see them fly.

The die I used to make the flowers is the Cheery Lynn Lollipop Fringe Cutie and then the Happy Birthday is also by Cheery Lynn.  The leaves are by Spellbinders and the little picket fence I cut on my Cricut machine using the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge.

The patterned papers are by Michele R Designs.  The yellow is from the Butterfly Garden collection and the blue is from the Vintage Garden Party collection.  These are just so beautiful!

Copic Markers - Skin:  E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R01, R20  Hair: Y21, E34, E35, E37, E39  Dress: BG0000, B91, B93  Flowers: YR23, YR31, YG61, YG63

Distress Inks - Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Weathered Wood

I have a few more projects that I've started that I need to get back to so I will bid you adieu.  Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment before you go.  There are more supplies listed below.  Have a wonderful week!

Happy 4th!

Hello Everybody and Welcome to my latest post!  Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans.  I hope you've enjoyed your holiday weekend.

I've actually been a complete bum since the hubs went out of town.  I've pretty much been at my computer since Saturday morning except the three times I got up for coffee each day...  Just kidding.  I did try a couple of new recipes to add to my low-carb repertoire, been taking the dogs for a 5:30 am walk (which will be changing to 4:45 am starting tomorrow), started a cross stitch project (haven't done that in years) and today I started and finished this card.

This cutie is July Tilda from the 2014 Pink Lemonade collection.

The Fireworks, Swirly Stars and Heart Border dies are DooHickeys and the Large Stars are Spellbinders.

Patterned papers are from the Freebie Pack 1 and the Vintage Teal Frost collections by MicheleRDesigns.

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R01, R20  Hair: YR20, E34, E35, E37, E39  Hat, Clothes & Flag: R22, R24, R29, B32, B34, B39, N0, N2, N4
Distress Inks: Vintage Photo, Wild Honey

For My Jessica

Good Morning My Lovely Creative Friends!

I'm happy to be back to crafting and posting after just over six weeks.  Six weeks?!?  Oh My Gosh, it really has been that long!  May was a very busy month with mom coming to visit from WI, sister coming to visit from CO, daughter coming up for a visit from Tucson...  There was the CK convention, grand-baby #9 made her entrance into the world and then I had my second surgery of this year on June 3rd and all of the doctor appointments before that.  PHEW!

Sad to say though, that as excited as I was to be part of the team, I had to let go of my DT spot at Craft Heaven Shop.  Tina is such a wonderful person to deal with, a genuine sweetheart, but as enthusiastic as I am, I just could not keep up with the demand of making six cards a month.  I don't know how some of you ladies do it!?!  Several design teams at once?  OISH!  More power to you though!  And thank you Tina Macuk for letting me be a part of such a great  and talented group of ladies.

Anyway, on to business.  I made this card for my daughter Jessica and it is also my Guest Designer creation for Paradise of Magnolia.  This little sweetie is Resting Tilda from this year's Spring Fever collection.

Dies I used are from the DooHickeys Pop Up Box #1 and Insta Love Cam (heart balloon).  I also used the Sizzix Branch w/Leaves and Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles.

Papers are MicheleRDesigns' Autumn Shabby Blue, In The Garden and Summer Meadows collections.

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R01, R20  Hair: YR20, E34, E35, E37, E39  Blouse & Bow: RV00, RV10, R83, R85, R89  Pants: V20, V22, V25, RV10, RV91, RV93, RV95  Shoes: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49

Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Forest Moss, Tumbled Glass, Vintage Photo

Not so much glare on the "Polaroid" in this pic.  I made this with a square die and then cut around it with a paper trimmer.

I also made this into a shaker frame.  I think this is the first one I've ever made.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Have a wonderful day and I look forward to seeing you again very soon.

Thinking Of You

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

I made this card for my mom.  We live 1808 miles apart and I would do almost anything to live close to her again.  So for Mother's Day I want her to know how much I miss her even though we talk on the phone for two hours at a time, and that's pretty often.
The stamps are Sitting Windy Tilda from the 2015 Sakura collection, Flower Wall Post from the 2011 Sweet Rainbow collection and Thinking Of You by Tim Holtz's Saying Stuff.

Papers are by Pion and Recollections.  I used X-Press It blending card to stamp and color.

Dies & Punches are DooHickeys Tilda Tag, Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine and MS 3 in 1 Butterflies

COPIC MARKERS Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R01, R20  Hair: YR20, E34, E35, E37, E39  Dress & Shoes:  RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99  Post: W1, W3, W5, W7  Grass & Stems: G20, YG93, YG95, YG99, Y11, Y13, Y15
DISTRESS INKS: Mermaid Lagoon, Walnut Stain

Additional Supplies: Lace, Seam Ribbon, Pearl Stickers

Thanks for stopping by today.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Have a great rest of your week and I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Creative Fold or Tag

GUESS What Day It Is!?!  :P

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

This week's theme at the Craft Heaven Shop Inspiration Blog is A Creative Fold or Tag and so I made this creatively folded flower card.

I used this SUPER sweet Divine Tilda stamp from the 2014 Waiting For Christmas collection by Magnolia.  I added the Autumn Sunflowers that she is holding behind her back.  They are from the 2012 Turning Leaves collection.

TA - DA....!!!  Isn't that just too cute!?!  You could do all sorts of things to decorate the inside.  I'm just not sure what I might use this card for yet so I left the inside blank for now.

Dies - DooHickeys: Chicken Wire, Early Bird Vol. 7  Lawn Fawn: Stitched Circles  Sizzix: Nested Circles, Nested Flowers

MS Punch: 3 in 1 Butterfly  Lace: Lace Fleur

Thanks a bunch for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day and I will see you back here in just a few days with a new card design to kick off our May challenge.

Hugs & Kisses,
Laura C.

Name Your Technique

Happy Wednesday Crafty Peeps!

Today is my day to share a little something with you for the Craft Heaven Shop Inspiration Challenge Blog where our theme this week is Name Your Technique.

I don't know that there really is a fancy-shmancy name to use for coloring your die cuts with distress inks but that's what I've done here today.  I don't have to worry about having the perfect color paper for my die cuts when I can make them any color I want.

The ADORABLE Magnolia stamp is Pizza Tilda from the 2016 Little Italy collection.
Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R01, R20  Hair: E34, E37, E44, E47  Apron, Shirt and Hat: C1, C3, C5, R56, R59  Jeans: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99  Shoes: E44, E47, E49  Pizza Dough: E50, E51, E53

All of the greens and the pizza in the lower right corner are made with DooHickeys dies from the same collection.
Distress Inks: Aged Mahogany, Barn Door, Cracked Pistachio, Crushed Olive, Festive Berries, Fossilized Amber, Frayed Burlap, Ground Espresso, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Pine Needles, Scattered Straw, Twisted Citron, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Wild Honey

The sunflower is made from two different die sets, the DooHickeys Club Vol. 6 collection and the Sizzix Susan's Garden Sunflower set.  The word Menu is another DH from 2013.

Don't forget that our BINGO! challenge runs through April 27th and there is a fantastic prize to be won.  Have a great week and I'll see you again next Wednesday.

Hugs & Kisses
Laura C.
