Loves Me Loves Me Not

Hello Crafty Peeps!  I hope your having a great day and your weather is fine.  The weather here is horrid and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.  We might actually get to 121 degrees Fahrenheit today.  I would calculate that to Celsius but that would take brain power that I just don't have right now.  LOL!

This sweet Tilda stamp is Loves Me Loves Me Not from the 2015 Lovely Duo collection.  LOVE HER! The "I Love You" is from an awesome collection of Scripty Sayings by Lawn Fawn.

I hijacked the idea for these shabby flowers from the oh-so-very talented and creative Debbie Dolphin. Since I've been short on time lately, I needed something quick and uncomplicated and these fit the bill nicely.  My die cut flowers are from the DooHickeys Volume 5 release and the leaves are Spellbinders. The Feathers are also a DooHickeys die.

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20  Hair: E50, E53, E57, E59  Top: E30, RV29, E32 Bottoms: BG70, BG72  Shoes: E70, E74, E79  Flower: G20, YG93, YG95, YR21, YR23, YR24

Thank you so much for stopping by.  The rest of the supplies I've used are listed below.  See you again in two weeks!

Sitting Windy Tilda

Hello Again Crafty Peeps!

Sorry I'm a bit late with this post this morning but have you ever photographed one of your creations only to realize you don't like it as much in the photo and that you really need to make a quick change or two?  That's what happened with this one.  While putting it together I kept thinking it needed more but the photo showed me that it needed less.

Here is the final result.

And here is the previous one.  The tags were just a bit too much and hid the beautiful floral paper which was the color inspiration.  Besides, those pics came out too dark due to our sketchy weather anyway.  Thankfully this morning is bright and sunny.

My card to share with you today features two Magnolia stamps, one old which is the Spring Fence from the 2010 Happy Easter collection (SO useful!) and a brand new one from the 2015 Sakura collection, Sitting Windy Tilda.  I just LOVE her!  Both are colored with Copic markers and accented with Distress Inks.

I've used a few dies here, including that gorgeous Lace from the DooHickeys Vol. 4 collection.  The butterflies are by Cheery Lynn, the Stitched Rectangle is from Lawn Fawn and the flowers and leaves are Spellbinders.  The papers are by Nitwit collections and printed from my computer.

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20  Hair: E50, E53, E57, E59  Dress and Shoes: Y21, YR23 Fence: E70, E74, E79  Ground/Grass: YG93, YG95, E81, E84, E87, E89  Flowers: YG93, YG95, Y21, YR23, E07, E08

Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Tattered Rose, Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber, Scattered Straw, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a lovely weekend!

Christmas In July

Good Day My Fellow Crafters, I'm so Glad You Could Stop By!  Today I have made a very simple Christmas card featuring Magnolia Stamps, Copic Markers and Distress Inks.

This little sweetie is Joyful Tilda from the Magnolia 2013 Winter Wonderland collection.  As you've probably already noticed, I love to work with these gorgeous stamps.  Please excuse my dark images as it's been overcast all day.

I kept this card CAS (clean and simple) because, let's face it, making elaborate Christmas cards for every one of my friends and family is just not going to happen.  No offense to anyone.♥  The tag at least adds another element to the card to keep it interesting and unique.

I haven't added any sentiment yet but can do so quite easily by either stamping directly to the tag or onto the white card.  A gift card could always be added to the tag too.

Copic Markers Used:  SKIN: E0000, E000, E00, R20  CLOTHES: E40, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, E81, E84, R56  HAIR: E50, E33, E35, E37

Distress Inks:  Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans

Thank You for coming by to take a peek.  I would love it if you left me a comment.  All of the supplies I've used that were not mentioned above are listed below.  Have a great week!

Hydrangeas in June

Hello Lovely Peeps!  I'm so glad you could stop for a visit.  It's been a while.  I sort of lost my mojo for a bit there but it's amazing how it kicked back in when I cleaned up my office and found my desk.

This is Tilda with Kneesocks from Magnolia Stamps' Sakura collection.  I've colored her with Copic Markers and accented everything with Distress Inks.  I think it's safe to say that she is one of my favorites from this collection since I've used her twice already.

My blog friend Kitty recently did a tutorial on how to make these hydrangea clusters and I had to try them, (her tutorial is HERE).  I didn't have the supplies she used but I improvised with I had. I made them with the MS 3 in 1 Hydrangea punch, an old leaf punch, white cardstock and Distress Inks.

The sweet little Dancing Butterflies and the Woodland Branch are by Memory Box.  The gifts are cut from the Tim Holtz/Sizzix die, Packages and Bows and the Happy Birthday stamp is also by Tim Holtz.  Both the Floral Oval and the Ribbon Banner are Spellbinders Dies.  More of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the post.

Copic Markers Used - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20  Hair: E33, E35, E37, E50  Clothes: V000, V05, V06  Shoes: C1, C3, C5, C7, C9  Shadows: T0, T2
Distress Inks Used:  Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar, Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo

Thanks So Much For Stopping By!

Watercolor

Hello Dear Readers, it's so good to see you again!  For those of you who are new, Welcome to my blog!

I am so happy to be participating in the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Hop over on MarkerPOP's post!  The hop will start tomorrow, Friday, June 5th and will run until Monday, June 8th 11:55 pm PST.

So why is my post a day early?  To let you know that MarkerPOP is giving away a $25 gift certificate to one lucky hopper in tomorrow's hop.

Today I am featuring some watercoloring and how beautifully it can be paired with Copic Markers.  This little cutie is Tilda With Fan from the most recent Magnolia of Sweden release, Sakura.  I've colored her with Copic Markers and I've colored the background and flowers with Ranger Distress Inks.

I wanted to make this a very clean and simple design to show off the watercolor background.  This was a new technique that I tried with Distress Inks and an acrylic block.  After inking the block I misted it with water and stamped the ink to watercolor paper.  It took several tries before getting the water/ink ratio right and getting the effect I was going for.

The cherry blossom branch was made using the Memory Box Woodland Branch die, the Magnolia DooHickeys volume #5 Small Flowers Die and the same acrylic block stamping technique.

Copic Markers used - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20  Hair: B000, C3, C5, C7, C9  Dress & Flowers: V01, V12, V15, V17, YG13  Sandals: E42, E43, E44  Stockings: T0, T2  Fan: YG11, YG13, YG17

Distress Inks used - Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans, Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmelade

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you'll participate in tomorrow's hop and join in the fun.

Kendall's 5th Birthday

Hello Again!  I'm so glad you could stop by!  :D

I have for you today, the card I made for my niece Kendall.  This adorable Magnolia stamp is from their latest release.  This is Tilda With Kneesocks from the Sakura collection, due to be available very soon.  I've colored her with Copic Markers and accented with Distress Inks.

I've used two of the dies from the latest DooHickey Club release.  This beautiful cake on the stand and the bunting are both from the club Volume #5.  I knew the kit would be great because they always are but this one really blew me over with this gorgeous cake.

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20  Hair: E50, YR21, YR24, E99  Dress: RV00, R81, R83, R85, R89  Shoes: E31, E34, E37

Distress Iks: Tumbled Glass, Bintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Tattered Rose

A complete supplies list is at the bottom of this post.

Thank You for visiting today!  I hope you have a great day and better tomorrows!

Say AH!

Hello Dear Readers!  I hope you're having a great day and your weekend is off to a good start.

I made this for my friend who recently had surgery.  I thought it would cheer her up and since it's filled with chocolate, how could it not?

This is Nurse Tilda from the Magnolia 2011 Winner Takes It All collection.  I just love her!  I used a "no lines" technique to color and did this by taking my inked image and stamping on a scrap piece of paper and then stamping again on my blending card so that the image was very light.

Here is the right side where you can see the tongue depressor and some flower details.

Moving along to the back, I added this cute little band aid made with a strip of tan cardstock, a corner rounder, heart punch and an embossing folder.

Coming back around toward the front you can see the start of the phrase Thinking About You.

Copic Markers Used:  Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R20, Hair: E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, Clothes: B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04, N0, N2, N4  Red Crosses: R22, R24  Bottle: BG0000, BG13, BG49

This bottle was big enough for an entire 12 oz bag of Hershey's Kisses to fit inside (minus two).  :D  It's actually an up-cycled bottle from my dog's glucosamine chews.  More of what I used for this project is listed at the bottom of this post.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment (I really do appreciate them).  I hope you have a great day and better tomorrows.

Mom

Hello My Lovely Friends and Card Making Enthusiasts!  I'm so glad you stopped by!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

May 10th is Mother's Day here in the states.  There is no designated date for this special occasion except that it is always the second Sunday in May.

My mom loves her yard and this time of year she is always outside planting something; vegetables, flowers, bushes...  She takes great pride in her efforts and she truly does have the prettiest yard in her neighborhood.  So her Mother's Day card is always garden themed.

This is Strawberry Yummy Tilda from the Magnolia 2011 Sweet Rainbow collection colored up with Copic Markers and accented with Distress Inks.

I've seen these adorable surprise boxes all over the internet lately and decided to give one a try.  I had to make several of these because it took a while to figure out the dimensions to accommodate my image and still fit into a regular envelope.  The post office seems to frown upon square envelopes and so I wanted this to fit into a 5 x 7.

Here is the back side of the card where I later wrote mom a little note.

Here is the card almost flattened out.

I used some brands and pearls which made it a little thick but it still fit into the envelope nicely.

Copic Markers - Face: E0000, E000, E00, R20  Hair: E33, E35, E37, E50  Outfit: YG91, YG95, YG97, E43, E44, E47  Basket: E21, E23, E25, E27, E29  Strawberries: R01, R20, R22, R24, R29, R56, RV34, G24, G28, YG11, YG91
Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Stormy Sky, Aged Mahogany

Thank You so much for taking the time to stop by.  I would love for you to leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Have a great day and better tomorrows

April Showers

Hello Dear Readers and Fellow Crafters!  I hope you're having a fantastic start to your week!  Mine, not quite so much seeing as how these two posts should have been done on Friday and posted on Saturday.  :p
This is the lovely Drip Drop Tilda, a special edition stamp from Magnolia Sweden in 2012.  It was actually raining outside when I photographed so my pictures are a little grayer than normal.  I have colored with Copic Markers and highlighted pretty much everything with Distress Inks.  I've used a lot of Stickles and amazingly, it shows up pretty well when it's cloudy.

Here is a side view to show depth of the flowers and to show more sparkle.

The tag from the upper left corner.  I love the sentiment and with the way my weekend went, it's appropriate.

My clumsy self dropped an inked stamp and got it all over my finished image.  I didn't have time to color up another so I had to try to fix it.  I'm sure you can spot what I've tried to cover up.
Copic Markers Used -  Skin: E0000, E000, E00  Hair: E31, E34, E37  Dress: RV000, RV00, RV10 Boots: Y11, Y21, Y26  Umbrella: YG3, YG17, E51, E53, E55

Distress Inks - Barn Door, Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Broken China, Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone, Vintage Photo

Thank You So Much for stopping by today and a special shout out to my blog followers.  HAY!  Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment.  Any products I've used that are not listed above are listed at the bottom of the post.  Have a wonderful day and better tomorrows!

Tyton Is Amazing!

Hello Dear Readers!  I hope you're having a fantastic day and that all is wonderful on your side of the screen.  I'm making this post short and sweet seeing as how I have two posts to do today and this was pretty much an easy card to throw together.

This is Cool Edwin and he is from the Magnolia 2011 Sweet Rainbow collection.  I made this one for my grandson who is obviously a big fan of Spider-Man.

Edwin has been colored using Copic Markers and I used my Cricut for the die cuts.  The sentiment was done on my computer and the bottom half of the card was done using an embossing folder.  Details are at the bottom of the post.

Thank You So Much for taking the time to stop by.  Would love to know what you think so please leave a comment.  I hope you have a great day and better tomorrows.

A Little Garden Party

Hello Dear Readers!  I hope your week is wonderful so far.  TGIAF! - Thank Goodness It's Almost Friday!  :p

Today I'm sharing my DT make for the MarkerPOP! Challenge Blog and I'm featuring Copic Markers and Distress Inks.

This is Joyful Tilda from the Magnolia 2012 A Christmas Story collection.  Isn't she just the sweetest?  I love that so many of the Magnolia stamps are so versatile that you can use them for many occasions.  Today, Tilda is serving up tea and cookies at a little garden party.  I colored her with Copic Markers.  The sky and grass were done using Distress Inks and my own hand cut stencils.

The lovely butterflies were made using Cheery Lynn Designs dies, colored with Copics and covered with Stickles.  The fence was made with the Cricut Paper Dolls cartridge.  A little stitching, some Frantage and pearls and voila!

Copic Colors:  Skin – E0000, E000, E00  Hair – E31, E35, E37  Dress & Butterflies – V20, V22, V25 Apron & Socks – E30, E31  Teapot & Tray – E40, E41, E42, R83  Cookies – E25, E27, E29 Greenery – YG03, YG 61, YG63, YG67

Once Upon A Time...

Hello Again Dear Readers!  Here I am with post #2 this morning and this time I am here with my Design Team make for the Tilda's Town Challenge Blog.  Our theme this week is FLOWERS and the challenge will run until Friday, April 17th at 11:55 a.m. CST.

I've made something a bit different than my usual card with a stamped Tilda or Edwin.  This time I wanted the die cuts to take center stage and so I have put together this simple yet sweet frame art featuring Magnolia DooHickeys dies.  The Pansy's and small clouds are from the latest DooHickeys Club release, Le Jardin.  I also have included the Castle from the 2013 Once Upon A Time collection and several clouds from the Cloud and Flag set, Sweet Rainbow 2011.

I was hoping maybe the side views would show some of the sparkle.  The photos do not do the coloring and glitter any justice.  The clouds and flower centers are all sparkly but it's so hard to tell.

The sweet little bird is one of a pair called Little Summer Birds from the 2013 Sea Breeze collection.  Everything was cut out in white cardstock and colored with Distress Inks for a softer, kind of dreamier look.

Here we go.  These are much better shots of the sparkle.

I have the castle sitting on the clouds but I sort of covered that up with foliage.  This shot actually shows that color a bit better.

Thank You so much for taking the time to visit.  All supplies not mentioned above are listed at the bottom of this post.  I hope you have a great day and better tomorrows.
♥ Laura C.
